OdorEroder®, SPEX CertiPrep®

The OdorEroder® contains purple beads in a tray that oxidize and neutralize offensive odors and fumes. The tray is placed where odor-causing chemicals in the air passes near the purple beads trapping the chemicals inside and on the surface of the beads, thus eliminating the odors. As the purple beads react, they turn brown. Under normal conditions, the OdorEroder lasts up to two to three months. It is a non-toxic, environmentally safe product that is effective throughout the following areas:

Another advantage of OdorEroder over Carbon is that it is more effective in absorbing volatile compounds, which accounts for much of the odors in the air. Also, the OdorEroder changes color signaling the replacement of the product; unlike Carbon, which looks the same regardless of how much effectiveness is left.
