Sealing Tape Pads
3M™ Empore™ Tape Pads are intended for sealing unused portions of a 96-well solid phase extraction plate during vacuum processing to enable vacuum to be uniformly applied to each well being used. Use a clean sheet each time for maximum sealing ability. Note: these tape sheets are not intended for sealing collection plates prior to sample injection because the adhesive may clog the injection needle.
The Empore tape pad is a pre-cut tape pad of high performance tape sheets. Tape sheet construction is a polypropylene film coated with a synthetic rubber adhesive. Each sheet is coupled with a liner tab for easy handling and dispensing.

Application Technique
Sheets of Empore™ tape pad should be removed one at a time by grasping the end with the liner and pulling the sheet free from the pad. Place the far end of the sheet in the desired location and allow the sheet to adhere from that end back to the tabbed end. Remove the tab and press the whole sheet flat. Application of the tape sheets is easiest at room temperature. At colder temperatures, approaching 32°F (0°C), the adhesive becomes more firm and may not adhere as well.
