Screw-Cap Microcentrifuge Tubes are ideal for any sample-processing or storage application and for working with valuable or hazardous cells and materials. The extraordinary strength, safety and reliability of these Screw-Cap Microcentrifuge Tubes let you perform procedures that simply can’t be done with many other tubes. Spin them, store them, transport them (even by air). Boil, irradiate , or immerse them in the vapor phase of liquid nitrogen They’ll stand up to the test!
Inside the Screw Cap, an ethylene propylene O-Ring forms a secure and leak-proof seal. The Screw-Cap Microcentrifuge Tube’s square threads won’t strip and they are on the outside of the tube, so you minimize the risk of contaminating your sample or letting it contaminate the Lab Tech.
- Sample Integrity- O-rings create a positive seal to prevent leaking during processing, storage, or transport. Tubes made of inert virgin-polypropylene copolymer, to minimize risk of altering samples
- Universal Use- Accommodates all fixed angle head microcentrifuges (0.5 and 2.0mL upright models require adapter C232-7). Will withstand maximum G-forces up to 22000 x g
- Safe and Reliable- External threads minimize contamination, material hang-up and loss. Screw cap made of same material as tube.
- Convenient- Molded ridges on tubes match serrations on racks (C232-30), so tubes may be opened with one hand. Upright models stand without a rack. Seamless, conical design lets you extract all of sample with pipette or syringe. Transparent polymer lets you see your sample clearly.
