Masticator® Homogenizer Blender

For microbiological analysis of a wide range of products, the Masticator® Homogenizer Blender is an easy-to-use, reliable machine designed to handle almost any sample. In many microbiological procedures, it is essential to have a liquid sample which has a bacterial content representative of the original material. The liquid is easy to cultivate or to process microbiologically, whereas the original material would not allow reliable results to be obtained.
The Masticator® offers clean, fast, contamination-free handling of samples to obtain reproducible and accurate results. Two paddles gently, but thoroughly, mix the sample inside the closed, sterile Whirl-Pak® bag with the required diluent. The unit starts automatically when the door is closed. The timer adjusts from 15-90 seconds or continuously. The paddles work at 8 ½ strokes per second, suitable for most applications. Because the machine has no direct contact with the sample, no cross-contamination can occur, no sterilization of the equipment is required and no cleanup is necessary. The Masticator® features a stainless steel compartment, a hinged door that removes easily for cleaning and maintenance-free, self-lubricating parts. Blends samples from 80-400mL.
