Filter Paper, Glass Fiber, Grade F128, Slow Flow Rate, 1.0 um Particle Retention
Glass fiber filters are manufactured from 100% borosilicate glass fibers. No binders are used that may cause interference in sensitive reactions. Glass fiber filters offer excellent chemical resistance, good flow rates and thermal stability up to 500 °C. F136 Series is ideally suited for air monitoring and is recommended for suspended and dissolved solids as described in Standard Methods Number 209. All are sold 100 filters per package. See ordering chart for catalog numbers and prices.
Rapid Flow Rate - Movement of liquid laterally along the fibers and vertically through the filter, and a lack of porosity and swelling of individual fibers combine to provide maximum flow efficiency.
Fine Particle Retention - By combining different fiber diameters, varying pore sizes and distributions can be attained. The retention range of Glass Fiber Filter papers extends downward to 0.7 um for maximum filtration efficiency.
High Loading Capacity - Unlike cellulose filters whose fibrous matrices clog rapidly when filtering high particulate solutions, glass fiber filter papers will continue to filter a much greater volume prior to loading.
Chemical and Thermal Resistance - Glass fiber filter papers maintain their operational integrity in the presence of acids, alkalies, most organic solvents to temperatures of 500°C
Long Shelf Life - Glass fiber filter papers do not absorb moisture and will not harden or yellow. Under normal conditions these filters can be stored indefinitely.
