Digestion / Distillation Granules

For prevention of bumping and explosive vaporization in boiling liquids. Inert and insoluble granules effectively prevent superheating. When a few granules are placed in flasks, a steady copious stream of bubbles escapes without spasmodic splatters. Any gases formed are extracted from the liquid quickly and completely while coated granules are used in Kjeldahl digestions and distillations of organic nitrogen. They act in oxidizing manner for complete digestion requiring about 20 minutes. Available in plain or selenized form.
