BBL® Crystal™ Identification Systems
BBL™ Crystal™ Enteric/Nonfermenter ID Kit
The BBL™ Crystal™ Enteric/Nonfermenter (E/NF) Identification System is a
miniaturized overnight identification method utilizing modified conventional and chromogenic substrates. The E/NF identification system is intended for the identification of clinically significant aerobic gram-negative Enterobacteriaceae isolates. In addition, the E/NF system identifies frequently isolated glucose nonfermenting gram-negative bacilli from human origin.
BBL™ Crystal™ Rapid Stool/Enteric ID Kit
The BBL™ Crystal™ Rapid Stool/Enteric (RS/E) Identification System is a miniaturized 4-hour identification method employing modified conventional and
chromogenic substrates. It is intended for the identification of clinically significant aerobic gram-negative bacteria that belong to the family Enterobacteriaceae as well as most pathogens isolated from stool specimens.
BBL™ Crystal™ Neisseria/Haemophilus ID Kit
The BBL™ Crystal™ Neisseria/Haemophilus (N/H) Identification System is a miniaturized 4-hour identification method employing modified conventional, fluorogenic and chromogenic substrates. It is intended for the identification of frequently isolated Neisseria, Haemophilus, Moraxella, Gardnerella vaginalis as well as other fastidious bacteria from specimens.
BBL™ Crystal™ Gram-Positive ID Kit
The most comprehensive Gram-Positive ID System available, the BBL™ Crystal™ Gram Positive ID System is a miniaturized 18-hour identification method employing modified conventional, fluorogenic and chromogenic substrates. It is intended for the identification of 121 gram-positive bacteria isolated from clinical specimens including both cocci and bacilli.
BBL™ Crystal™ Rapid Gram-Positive ID Kit
The BBL™ Crystal™ Rapid Gram-Positive ID System is a miniaturized 4-hour identification method employing sing modified conventional, fluorogenic and chromogenic substrates. It is intended for the identification of gram-positive bacteria isolated from clinical specimens including both cocci and bacilli.
BBL™ Crystal™ Anaerobe ID Kit
The BBL™ Crystal™ Anaerobe ID kit is a miniaturized 4-hour identification method employing modified conventional, fluorogenic and colorimetric substrates to identify clinically significant anaerobes. Separate databases for Schaedler Blood Agar, CDC Anaerobe Blood Agar and Alternate Blood Agars are included for improved specificity and increased flexibility.
